How DNN Changed My Life - (part 3)

Am I Dreaming? Somebody pinch me…

While constantly searching out new clients and looking for full-time employment, I was typically receiving around 10-20 emails per day for job offers from every placement agency and headhunter within a 100 mile radius of San Francisco, and even recruiters calling me from Atlanta and beyond (India). I was used to my morning ritual of reviewing…. deleting… reviewing… deleting… reviewing… deleting… the multitude of poorly matched job offerings that were being sent regularly to fill up my inbox. One day, everything changed. I received a message, that at a glance appeared to be just another typical recruitment email from someone in the Silicon Valley… I was somewhat surprised to see the words “Career Opportunity at DotNetNuke” in the subject line. They were migrating all three web e-commerce sites to use MS Dynamics to administer the sites and their e-commerce presences. During the initial meetings to discuss client needs, their wish lists, site functionality and UI/UX, I had asked our management team and tech agency who would be doing the work why they weren’t going to be using something like DNN to build the sites, as it made more sense to me to not be forced to use different pieces of software to make one simple change on the site. Pre-DNN Kid — From Graphic Designer to Webmaster

Before I started working with the web, I was fortunate enough to decide at the perfect time to go into graphic design, advertising and marketing, during the first technology bubble in 1998. In those infamous years, San Francisco was buzzing with new ideas, new techniques, international clients and the promise of a new way of selling online – something called “E-Commerce”... Why a Social Solution Should Be Some of Your Business

"Ignorance is Bliss"... or so they say.. As a business owner (or employee for that matter), can you really afford to act like having a Social presence for your website isn't necessary? Maybe you feel like you just don't have the time, or that it&r... Continue Reading »

Having been a Front-End Developer for years, I have a keen design eye, and love it when a site does a great job of designing a site and especially when its implemented with DotNetNuke... I think the US Cellular Center in Asheville, NC has done a... Continue Reading »
