According to Gartner, "digital content must make itself available to a user when and where it's needed." As a marketer, you need a multi-channel CMS that can publish not only to your website, but also to the other channels frequented by your customers. If you're only publishing to your website, you're missing valuable opportunities with your customers, or potential customers.
I'm excited to announce that Evoq has evolved to become a multi-channel
CMS. In this post, I'll share details on our new multi-channel
capabilities, and cover related features available in our latest
release, Evoq 9.1.
Image: Manage your content centrally in Liquid Content™, then make it available on any channel.
Evoq 9.1 includes new Liquid Content™ Channels, which provide "out of the box" publishing capabilities beyond websites and intranets. Evoq 9.1 publishes seamlessly from Liquid Content™ to Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. In addition, Liquid Content can generate an HTML embed code to publish an individual content item on any website, including those managed by another CMS.
Multi-Channel Content Analytics
Within each content item in Liquid Content™, the "Channels" tab displays the channels on which the content lives: website, social networks, apps and more. Evoq tracks how many times content has been shared and how much engagement it is receiving.
API Keys allow other applications to use our REST API to access and retrieve content stored in Liquid Content. The REST API enables Evoq to be used as a headless CMS. For example, developers can create an Alexa Skill, to have the Amazon Echo use our REST API to access content stored in Liquid Content.
Liquid Content Enhancements
Liquid Content™, which became available with Evoq 9.0, is the foundation of for multi-channel publishing and analytics. Evoq 9.1 includes additional enhancements to Liquid Content.
Content Item Version History
Liquid Content now saves a detailed version history for every change made to a content item. Users can review the full version history and roll back a content item to a specific version number.
Visualizers are part of Liquid Content’s assembly engine.
Visualizers are rendering modules that request content stored in Liquid Content, then handle layout and rendering on an HTML page.
When managing multiple sites, our new visualizer import/export feature enables you to copy a visualizer from one site to another.
On the origin site, the visualizer is exported to a ZIP file.
On the destination site, the ZIP file is imported, which makes it available across the site.
In-context editing has always been a hallmark of the Evoq experience; now, we bring the same experience to the Liquid Content visualizers on a page. The distinction here is that with a visualizer, the content doesn’t truly live on the page; instead, it’s stored and managed in Liquid Content. So what we’re doing is giving you the option of managing your structured content directly on the page.
You can add content, edit content and manage visualizer settings directly from the module on the page. Module permissions can restrict access to visualizer front-end changes and updates to the content item. Making a change to the content or visualizer triggers workflow and versioning, to allow for content approval and version history.
Auto-Suggestion for Tags
For List or List/Detail visualizers, Evoq suggests tags for filtering content elements. The suggestions are based on the pre-existing tag structure, along with the tags in use on the current version of the page.
SEO Tags for Content Items
Marketers can now populate metadata in Liquid Content to help with Search Engine Optimization (SEO). In the "SEO" tab of a content item, marketers can define attributes such as page title and meta description.
Miscellaneous Enhancements in Evoq 9.1
Enhancements to Evoq Analytics
To complement the data we render in tabular format in Evoq Analytics, we added an assortment of color-coded charts. Charts will update in real-time as users change dimensions or date ranges. Conversion tracking has been enhanced to include segmentation by individual conversion metrics, along with visitor path analysis to show the influence of a page on conversions.
Form Builder has been enhanced to create forms with multiple steps. This feature can be useful for implementing surveys, questionnaires and quizzes. Users define the details of each step, and can see form results on a step-by-step basis.
Our folder provider connectors (e.g. Box, Dropbox, Amazon S3, Azure) now support multiple instances. For example, for files stored at Dropbox, you can connect Evoq to two different Dropbox accounts within your organization, which can be mapped to distinct folder paths.
Related: Visit this product page for more details about our connectors.
We’ve added a new Google Tag Manager connector. Google Tag Manager gives you the ability to add and update third party tags (i.e. HTML code) that you place on your site for conversion tracking, site analytics, remarketing, and more. The new connector helps you manage the third-party tags on your Evoq site.
Site-Level Import and Export
Evoq includes a new module for exporting and importing entire sites. Users can select granular items, such as Content, Assets, Users, Roles and more. This export is generated into a ZIP file, which can then be imported to another Evoq site.
