Overview of Folder Types

The DAMA Digital Asset Management (DAM) system solves the problem of managing large collections of files by making them searchable and usable. DAM provides the tools for finding, organizing, and searching large collections of files. module comes with the following folder types:

Overview of the folder types:

• Standard - File System: Default location when most site files are stored.
• Secure - File System: This folder encrypts file names to prevent direct linking to files.
• Secure - Database: Stores files as a byte array in the database rather than in the usual file system.

To view the folder types available on the site:

1. Navigate to AdminRegistered users who are members of the Administrators role. These users have full access to manage the site including adding, deleting and editing all pages and modules. Administrators also have access to the Admin pages located on the main menu. >  File Management - OR - Go to a DAMA Digital Asset Management (DAM) system solves the problem of managing large collections of files by making them searchable and usable. 2. Select Mange Folder Types from the Actions toolbar.
